So I went to work on Zomble Outbreak after taking a minor break thanks to Phoenix Comic Con and as I sat down to code the AI I had the thought that I could do it in a much more efficient way then I had been. Before I would have had all NPCs wandering around randomly and then heading off to a thing when they needed to do something but I realized that might impact the game's performance to greatly so I came up with another idea. During Class 0 and Class 1 outbreaks instead of people using a system that allows them free movement instead they will head to buildings and go between various points within said building depending on the activity. This system means it should make things easier for them to move around as well as lessening the weight of having up to 500 NPCs on the system. If the person however sees a zombie they are going to switch over to the RAIN AI system that helps them move around and avoid threats without locking them to a path. The Zombles on the other hand are going to be pure RAIN as their AI is extremely basic (move towards things and attack) but hopefully if I start the code like this it should keep things running mostly smoothly.

It was designed to emulate a flash game Class 3: Zombie Outbreak Simulator in it's style. Since this point I have shelved this version and have been going back and reworking the code in order to add in the complexity that I am striving for. Zomble Outbreak (formerly known as Zombie Outbreak Simulator 3D) is an upcoming RTS game developed by Rindustries. The game will feature two factions being the zombies and government forces. Each faction will have a different style of play, the zombies are very indirect meaning you upgrade the virus instead of having direct control over the units, the government forces will play like a traditional RTS inspired by the Westwood era games.
